The City of Lancaster offers employees a generous paid time off package, which includes holidays/bonus days, vacations, and sick time (which increases with longevity.)
Retirement Savings & Life Insurance
Firefighters are offered a pension in accordance with City Code. Additional plans (Supplemental Plan and 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan) are available, which offer tax benefits and encourage employees to grow their nest egg. In addition, the City provides $50,000 of life insurance at no cost to the employee.
